TM founder calls for Bush’s removal

Maharishi Mahesh Yogi has called for the removal of President Bush, saying that his bellicose posture has opened the road to the gates of hell.

Speaking from Holland, the founder of the Transcendental Meditation Movement told followers that many unintelligent people believed in arms. He said Bush’s ignorance of science has led him to rashly go out and destroy the world.

Maharishi told 300 people attending an education conference that crime, school violence and terrorism demonstrate that education has failed society. Holistic education is a solution to the creation of a better administration, which is the way of a civilised world, he said.

Maharishi said: "Following the path of Vedic wisdom will produce waves of coherence for the world, preventing the negative tendencies that lead to terrorism and war."
