Subject: Training course in India for Professionals in Maharishi Ayurveda

13 February 2004

Dear Friends and Colleagues

Training for Professionals in Maharishi Ayurveda

New Delhi, India, 5th to 16th April 2004

It is a great pleasure to announce a training course for Professionals in Maharishi Ayurveda to be held in India this April. The course will be held at the Indian headquarters of Maharishi Ayurveda in New Delhi.

This course, which is for delegates from the UK, will be for the following categories of participants:

Those with some training in Maharishi Ayurveda, for example as Maharishi Panchakarma Technicians, will also be eligible to attend the course. Further details are available on request.

If you are in one of these categories, we have great pleasure in inviting you to attend this course.

There will be a separate announcement regarding advanced Maharishi Panchakarma Technician training.

The course will be conducted by Dr J R Raju and other leading Maharishi Ayurveda Vaidyas. For those with existing knowledge and experience of Maharishi Ayurveda, the course will bring our practitioners up to date with the latest advances in treatments, research, and products. For practitioners on their first Maharishi Ayurveda course, the course will be a profound introduction to the principles and practices used in Maharishi's Vedic Approach to Health.

Dr Raju and his colleagues are developing and applying profound and effective treatments, including the treatment of a number of intractable diseases and conditions. This includes the use of advanced Maharishi Panchakarma treatments, and the application of special Maharishi Ayurveda medicines and preparations. Dr Raju is incorporating the knowledge of the Veda and Vedic Literature in human physiology into methods of diagnosis and treatment, with profound effect.

Our colleagues at Maharishi Ayurveda Products in Delhi have a vigorous research and development programme for new products, and are also collaborating with some of the leading research organisations in India, who are investigating some of the profound benefits of Maharishi Amrit Kalash and other products and medicines.

During the training, participants will learn about these new treatments and research, with structured lectures and discussion sessions with the Vaidyas and research scientists. Participants will also pay a visit to the Maharishi Ayurveda Products manufacturing facilities in Noida near to Delhi. This will include discussions with the Vaidyas and research and development scientists at the factory. The tour of the manufacturing facilities gives a fascinating insight into the way in which the raw materials are gathered from around India, from farms and wild sources, and how they are processed under rigorous and controlled conditions to manufacture the wide range of Maharishi Ayurveda Products now available. If time allows, there will also be a field trip to a farm dedicated to the production of herbs and medicinal plants for Maharishi Ayurveda about 3 hours drive from Delhi.

There will also be the opportunity for delegates to take Maharishi Panchakarma treatments while in Delhi.

At the last course for UK delegates in November 2003, two experienced Maharishi Ayurveda doctors were amongst the group: Dr Elizabeth Young and Dr Donn Brennan. Here is what they had to say about their experiences.

"The Maharishi Ayurveda course in India November 2003 was the best course I have ever been on and this includes medical courses, TM courses and Maharishi Ayurveda courses. It was superbly organised from beginning to end and not a moment was wasted.  We had wonderful lectures and unlimited access to top Vaidyas to ask all the questions we could think of. It was wonderful to stay in a Maharishi Ayurvedic hospital with delicious food, ideal routine and the opportunity to receive the best Panchakarma treatment in the world.  I came back with my health improved beyond all expectations - greater energy and happiness – which grew as the weeks went by. The most memorable aspect of the course apart from the treatment was the visit to the factory where we met the marvellous, dedicated experts who are responsible for making Maharishi Ayurveda Products available for the world. I am really looking forward to the next course." Dr Elizabeth Young

Dr Donn Brennan writes specifically about the Maharishi Panchakarma treatments given under Dr Raju’s supervision:

"The treatments which I experienced in India have had ongoing benefits.  Initially there was no sign of the expected jetlag. On the contrary there was a settled awareness, an ease within, coupled with a lot of energy and the unexpected ability to function at a more demanding pace without fatigue."

If you would like to attend this forthcoming course, please contact us for further details. We look forward to hearing from you, and to having your company in Delhi in April. If you know of any others who may be interested, but may not be on our mailing list, please let us know.

With best wishes

Jai Guru Dev
