(4 February 2003) His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi proclaimed the readiness of his Global Country of World Peace to achieve the "seemingly impossible - to transform today's problem-ridden world by creating prevention-oriented, problem-free administration in every country. To do so, Maharishi revealed his Vedic technologies of consciousness to eliminate "karma" - to prevent the negative influences of past wrong actions by a nation's people from creating new problems and suffering for the whole country.

"It is now simply a matter of choice whether a head of state wishes to continue down the dangerous path of conflict and destruction - or chooses to enjoy a bright new future of affluence and peace for the whole population - with no sickness, no suffering, no problems, no failures," Maharishi said.

Maharishi's bold announcement came during his weekly global news conference last Wednesday, which was broadcast live via satellite, Internet webcast, and teleconference call to media on all continents. Maharishi's offer comes on the basis of nearly 50 years of experience, and extensive scientific validation, in bringing enlightenment to millions of people worldwide through his Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi programme, including Yogic Flying. Now, as a "shortcut" to creating permanent world peace, Maharishi's Global Country of World Peace is offering every government the effect of his Vedic technologies of consciousness to create a coherent, harmonious national consciousness, which will prevent the sprouting of all negativity in the country.

Maharishi explained to the press that the cause of all problems gripping the world can be located in the man-made constitutions that administer all governments. Such constitutions were conceived by a small group of founders of a nation, and therefore are rife with human weaknesses and failings. "Man-made constitutions will never be able to administer God-made creation," Maharishi said. "Human existence, entire nations, and the galactic universe are all God-made. The administration of the God-made creation has to be God-made - it has to be the Administration of Natural Law, which governs the infinite diversity of the universe with perfect order. Such a supreme level of administration is now available to every government through the Global Country of World Peace."

Maharishi said that one law of Nature is at the basis of his programme to create prevention-oriented, problem-free administration - a law that is expressed in the universal truth: "As you sow, so shall you reap." "Everyone throughout the world knows this law," Maharishi said. "It means the effect of a man's past wrong actions will come back to him as negative influences. And it also means that the effects of wrong actions of all the people in a country will come back to the entire nation as collective negative influences, such as famine, drought, and earthquakes."

Maharishi asked a rhetorical question: "If this is a law of Nature - that the effect of collective wrong actions will come back to a country - then how can we create a prevention-oriented, problem-free administration for an entire nation? The answer is by averting the danger which has not yet come."

Maharishi said that the Vedic knowledge of Natural Law provides the complete knowledge of action - the complete knowledge of karma - including how to eliminate the negative influence of wrong action. "With this knowledge, even if a man has done something wrong in the past, there are Vedic procedures, such as Graha Shanti and Yagyas, for neutralising his karma. Or, if we know from Jyotish - the Vedic science of prediction - that the adverse karma of one million people of a country will bring a famine to an area of the nation within six months, we can prevent the famine through Vedic procedures.

"This is our strength," Maharishi said. "It is on this basis that we can declare to the people and nations of our dear world that we will not let you suffer from the wrongs that you have done in the past. We can perform these Vedic procedures for any city or any nation to prevent all problems."

Maharishi said that the timeless Vedic knowledge has been safeguarded by the Vedic families of India, and that governments, in their parental role for their nations, can employ groups of Vedic experts to create prevention-oriented and problem-free administration. Or, if a government prefers, local citizens of the country can be trained in this knowledge through Maharishi Universities of World Peace, which are now being established in every nation.

Maharishi said that a government has only to sign a contract with the Global Country of World Peace - "and we are ready to do everything for the nation." And while he added that the financial obligations of the contract can be fulfilled without any financial pressure to the government, Maharishi pointed out, "A government pays a man to go to war and possibly die for the nation, why not pay him to prevent all problems for the nation?"

Maharishi concluded by emphasising that his offer is based on science, not mysticism. "This is Cosmic mathematics: 'As you sow, so shall you reap.' And now we add the knowledge of how to neutralise the negative influences coming back to the individual, the city, and the nation to create prevention-oriented, problem-free administration. Whether governments contract for this knowledge today or tomorrow, or next year or next generation - whenever there will be permanent world peace, it will be on the basis of this Vedic knowledge of Total Natural Law."
