Highlights of the December/January issue:
Pioneering study quantifies brain wave patterns of cosmic consciousness
At the beginning of the 1970s, the research of Dr R. Keith Wallace and others started the quantification of the fourth major state of human consciousness – known as "restful alertness" or Transcendental Consciousness. This new breakthrough study is the first to begin to quantify the fifth state of consciousness – Enlightenment or Cosmic Consciousness – using a new Integration Scale. This issue includes an explanation of the study, with additional commentary from Dr Geoffrey Clements and Dr Alex Hankey.
With governments failing, Maharishi urges top scientists to administer nations
"Science should not be a witness to the sinking ship of administrations everywhere." During his most recent press conferences, His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi said that the administration of every nation today is in the hands of childish intelligence, immature minds, with a low-level understanding of life. Instead, Maharishi said, "administration should be in the hands of expert intelligence. It shouldn’t be based on senseless, short-sighted popular votes."
Maharishi speaks on Yoga, New-town design in Kent, Vedic organic agriculture, and the role of the TM group in Skelmersdale.

Maharishi school a moving experience for Linda
David Hughes brings us a special report from the Maharishi School in Skelmersdale. When Manchester mother-of-two Linda Lloyd was looking for the best secondary education for her eleven-year-old son Robert last summer, she didn't imagine that she would end up teaching at the same school herself.
"The staff are so sweet at the Maharishi School," said Linda. "Other schools are nice and supportive, of course, but there seems to be more of a common bond at the Maharishi School."
