Maharishi describes today's problem-ridden governments as a hodgepodge of mutually destructive political parties opinions

(19 November 2002) Governments today are a mockery of administration - they deceive the trust of the people and deprive them of their birthright to enjoy their full creative potential. Only a new science of administration based on the total knowledge of Natural Law, which administers the infinite diversity of the universe with perfect order, is capable of satisfying all the people and creating a new world order of affluence and peace.
This was the message of His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, founder of the Global Country of World Peace, during his weekly global news conference held on Wednesday, 13 November 2002, and broadcast live via satellite, Internet webcast, and teleconference call.
Science should not be a witness to the sinking ship of administrations everywhere
Maharishi said that the administration of every nation today is in the hands of childish intelligence, immature minds, with a low-level understanding of life.
Instead, Maharishi said, administration should be in the hands of "expert intelligence. It shouldn't be based on senseless popular votes." And he called on leading scientists in every country who have the complete, scientific knowledge of Natural Law to take responsibility for creating successful administration in their own areas of expertise. "Science should not be a witness to the sinking ship of administrations everywhere," Maharishi added.
Dr John Hagelin to be a guiding light among scientists
Maharishi asked His Excellency Dr John Hagelin, world-renowned quantum physicist and Minister of Science and Technology of the Global Country of World Peace, to be a "guiding light" for these top scientists in creating prevention-oriented, problem-free administration in every country. Maharishi said such ideal administration will complement, not compete with, existing systems of government.
"Dr Hagelin is a top scientist in the field of physics and in the field of consciousness. Such men of intelligence should spearhead the administration in every country," Maharishi said.
Maharishi Universities of World Peace to train world leaders
To train future world leaders, Maharishi Universities of World Peace are being established in every country. "These universities will create leaders with fully developed minds who possess the knowledge of the supreme organising intelligence of Natural Law," Maharishi said. "They will apply this knowledge to raise manmade constitutions to the supreme level of efficiency and effectiveness of the Constitution of the Universe, Total Natural Law."
His Majesty Raja Raam - First Ruler of the Global Country of World Peace
Maharishi said that the ideal system of administration - Vedic administration - is being offered to the world by His Majesty Raja Raam, the First Ruler of the Global Country of World Peace.
"His Majesty Raja Raam has initiated an ideal administration to bring fulfilment to every area of society based on his discoveries in human physiology," Maharishi said. "His research has revealed that every physical expression in the universe is just the expression of consciousness. The world is very fortunate to have such a great scientist introduce this complete, scientific knowledge of ideal administration for every nation."
The Global Country of World Peace was established two years ago by Maharishi as "a country without borders for peace-loving people everywhere". The Global Country of World Peace provides governments with the knowledge and technologies of Total Natural Law to promote prevention-oriented, problem-free administration.
Maharishi's programme to create world peace
The Global Country of World Peace is implementing Maharishi's programme to create world peace. The plan calls for establishing several large peace-creating groups of 8,000 experts in Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation and Yogic Flying throughout the world, including one larger group of up to 40,000 experts in India.
The plan also includes building 3,000 Peace Palaces in the world's largest 3,000 cities, including 51 in the UK. Each Peace Palace will be home to a group of 100 to 200 Yogic Flyers.
Extensive research, published in leading, peer-reviewed scientific journals during the past 30 years, has demonstrated that the coherent influence generated by these large groups eliminates the acute social stress that fuels terrorism and warfare, and promotes peace and harmony in the whole world family.

Maharishi concluded the news conference by emphasising the concrete nature of his global programme.

"We are ensuring that the life of the individual and society will always be administered by that supreme intelligence of Natural Law - the Divine Will of God - which administers the infinite diversity of the universe with perfect order. The future of the world is very, very bright."
