Subject: Live satellite broadcast of Maharishi's New Year celebration, 12 January, starting just after 1115 am, UK time (GMT), and continuing for 3-4 hours.
It is a great joy to announce that there will be a live global TV satellite broadcast via the Maharishi Channel of Maharishi's address and the inaugural celebrations for the New Year, on 12 January. The celebrations will commence during the auspicious time, or muhurta, as given through the Vedic Science of Maharishi Jyotish, between 1116 and 1126 am UK time (GMT).
On 12 January every year, Maharishi inaugurates a new theme for the activities of his global organization, and reviews the achievements and progress in the light of current trends in world affairs. On 12 January 2001, Maharishi inaugurated the Year of the Global Country of World Peace. 2001 was a momentous year, both in terms of Maharishi's achievements worldwide, and in terms of global trends and developments. In this context, Maharishi's address tomorrow promises to be of great interest. He will be joined by the leaders of the Global Country of World Peace, Vedic scholars and distinguished scientists, for the celebrations.
To view the broadcast, please contact your local Maharishi Vedic centre or study centre of Maharishi Open University. We do not have any information at present whether the broadcast will also be available by the internet, but we will keep you informed.
